Paris Saint-Germain without Angel Di Maria, Javier Pastore vs. Nancy

Paris Saint-Germain winger Angel Di Maria will be one of six players missing for the French champions when they return to Ligue 1 action away at AS Nancy-Lorraine on Saturday.

The Argentina international joins compatriot Javier Pastore, midfielder Thiago Motta, right-back Serge Aurier, as well as left-back pair Layvin Kurzawa and Maxwell, in missing out on the encounter at Stade Marcel Picot through injury.

Playmaker Pastore is currently in Madrid recovering from a recurring calf problem and will likely be out of action until at least mid-November, while PSG have not disclosed the reasons for Di Maria's absence -- possibly fatigue after his recent travel between Europe and South America -- simply citing injury.

Veterans Motta and Maxwell were not involved in the recent international break, so must have picked up their respective knocks in training.

PSG have listed both as injured. But L'Equipe report both, as well as Di Maria and Kurzawa -- who played the full 90 minutes twice for France over the most recent international break -- do not have serious problems and should be fine for next week's UEFA Champions League home clash with Basel.

Talented and versatile young defender Presnel Kimpembe is expected to cover Kurzawa and Maxwell's absences on the left side of the back four. Fode Ballo-Toure, a 19-year-old left-back, has been called up to the squad for the first time.

Aurier is believed to have a slight ankle complaint, so the Ivory Coast international -- who has generated headlines over the past fortnight -- has been left out as a precautionary measure.

Lorenzo Callegari, Remy Descamps, Alec Georgen and Hervin Ongenda will all be on reserve duty with PSG's CFA team this weekend and not with the seniors.
