PSG defeat Real Madrid to reach UEFA Youth League final

Paris Saint-Germain will face Chelsea in Monday's UEFA Youth League final after the French side got the better of Real Madrid 3-1 in Nyon.

An Achraf Hakimi own goal gave PSG an early lead, but after Borja Mayoral levelled, it looked like only one team would go on to win.

Aka Wilfride Kanga had other ideas as he put Paris in front late before Jean-Kevin Augustin sealed victory, moments after Real's Jose Carlos Lazo was given his marching orders.

A deflected Odsonne Edouard shot gave PSG a somewhat fortuitous lead, with Hakimi knowing little about it as the ball struck his back and left Luca Zidane flat-footed in the Real goal.

A foul by Alec Georgen on Lazo saw referee Davide Massa point to the penalty spot without hesitation, and Mayoral, who has already made five appearances in the Real Madrid first team this season, made no mistake from the spot to net his eighth goal in this year's Youth League.

Both sides had chances to snatch the lead on the stroke of half-time, Yakou Meite first seeing a header saved before Mayoral was denied a second by Paris' goalkeeper Remy Descamps.

Lazo had the first chance of the second half, with Descamps getting just enough on the ball to turn it inches wide of his right-hand post, only moments after Oscar's shot had grazed the outside of the opposite upright.

Mayoral led Real's search for a winner, but a quick break saw Paris move ahead. Christopher Nkunku put Kanga in and he provided a cool finish past Zidane with just seven minutes remaining.

Frustration got the better of Real, who lost Lazo to a late red card, and saw their hopes of winning a Champions League and Youth League double evaporate when Augustin turned Alejandro Salto inside the penalty area before slotting in a third for Francois Rodrigues' team.

Earlier on Friday, Chelsea defeated Anderlecht 3-0 to reach their second straight final.
