Chelsea into the UEFA Youth League final after 3-0 win over Anderlecht

Chelsea took their place in the final of the UEFA Youth League thanks to a comprehensive 3-0 win over Anderlecht, keeping them on course for a successful defence of the title they won a year ago.

In Monday's final, Chelsea will face PSG, who defeated Real Madrid later on Friday.

Kasey Palmer gave Chelsea the lead midway through the first half, with captain Charlie Colkett and Tammy Abraham adding further goals in the second 45 minutes as the Blues comfortably qualified for their second straight final.

Palmer showed early in the game why he is being tipped to feature in Guus Hiddink's first-team between now and the end of the season as he teed up Abraham to head against the post. And the pair, who shared a near telepathic understanding in the Chelsea attack, combined for the opening goal after Anderlecht's early spark fizzled out.

Palmer dribbled around three defenders before a neat exchange of passes with Abraham teed him up to place his shot in off the far post. Not wanting to be outshone, Abraham showed some deft touches of his own before getting in a shot which Mile Svilar saved on the stroke of half-time.

A mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Bradley Collins let in Samy Bourard for what proved to be the last moment of danger he had to deal with early in the second half.

The rest was a controlled monologue from Adi Viveash's team, who doubled their lead when Mason Mount -- on for Palmer at half-time -- crossed for Colkett to double their lead.

Another assist from Mount, a teasing ball through the middle, put Abraham clean through on goal, and his composed finish did the rest.

Isaac Christie-Davies' deflected effort hit the woodwork late on as Chelsea almost grabbed a fourth, but enough had been done to take them through to Monday's final, with plenty still seemingly in reserve for their next opponents.
