Carlos Bacca, FW, AC Milan & Colombia: #CopaRank: No. 20

Welcome to #CopaRank, a weeklong look at the top 25 players we expect to see at the Copa America Centenario. Over 50 ESPN FC experts and writers from around the globe voted, and we're rolling out the results right up to opening day, U.S. vs. Colombia, on Friday.

Why is Carlos Bacca in the top 25?

The Colombian forward is an elite finisher. In his first year with Italian giants AC Milan, the 29-year-old scored 20 goals in all competitions, including 18 goals in the league. Bacca's résumé includes a number of excellent seasons with Sevilla in Spain, where he developed a reputation as a top center-forward. He makes heady 3-yard runs, reading the game well and putting himself in positions to score. Though he has a number of weapons in his arsenal, it's the simple flick and redirect that stand out as the best of the bunch. Bacca can also drop off the front line and serve as a withdrawn forward, spearheading the attack and working back defensively.

What the experts say about Bacca:

"[Bacca] has great skills and qualities and is extraordinarily competitive. He wants more and more. Every time he's on the pitch, he wants to grow; you can call it hunger." -- Sevilla coach Unai Emery.

"Bacca is a key player for us. He is the team's top scorer, and when a chance comes his way, he puts the ball in the back of the net." -- former Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Career highlight:

Bacca played a key role in Sevilla's run to the Europa League title in 2014, and was named Liga de Futbol Profesional's player of the year from the Americas for the season.

Stat of the season:

Bacca has scored 97 league goals over the past four seasons.

What's next for Bacca after the Copa America Centenario?

Bacca's goal haul makes him a natural target for a summer transfer despite his hefty price tag. While Milan would do well to hold on to him, they may be tempted to sell Bacca. West Ham are among the reported interested parties.
