Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal has vowed to play through the pain barrier after picking up an injury for Chile on Thursday.
Vidal, 29, was stretchered off in the final minute of Chile's goalless draw in Columbia. The former Juventus player looked to be struggling with pain in his right thigh and was treated on the sidelines in added time after his substitution.
The exact diagnosis is not yet known and Chile face Uruguay at home on Wednesday in another qualifier. But Vidal, nicknamed the "Warrior," vowed to ignore the pain of his injury following the "priceless point" in Baranquilla.
"I will play against Uruguay," Vidal told reporters. "No matter what, I will play. We need these three points."
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said in Bild that the club were concerned about Vidal's fitness.
"Bayern Munich are very worried about Arturo Vidal's health," Rummenigge said. "We urge the Chilean Football Association to deal with this situation responsibly and sensibly.
"It should be a given that the player's health is top priority."
Chile currently lie fifth in South American qualifying -- in the playoff position -- ahead of Argentina. Only four teams can directly seal their passage from the group for the 2018 finals in Russia.
