Brazil manager Tite reminds Dani Alves of Manchester City's Pep Guardiola

Brazil right-back Daniel Alves says Selecao manager Tite reminds him of current Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Since taking over the national team reins from Dunga, Tite -- who led Corinthians to Club World Cup, Copa Libertadores and league glory during his time with the Brazilian giants -- has helped Brazil rise from sixth to first in World Cup qualifying over his four games in charge.

The Brazilian boss has re-installed flowing, attacking football to the national side while emphasizing a high-pressing defence and collective spirit absent from Dunga's days, which has produced 12 goals and allowed just one under his watch.

Asked if Tite's work was similar to the managers with whom Alves has played under during his 14 years in Europe, the Juventus man said one name stood out.

"No doubt. Not only of Tite, but his staff. It reminds me a little, despite some differences, of Guardiola in many things," Alves told SporTV. "That's a great honour. I had a lot of desire to work with him, I had great expectations with his proposal.

"I'm happy to be working with him, to be under his orders. Not only me but everyone. I believe it's not only Tite but his entire staff chewing on a lot of the things for us and this is helping us do our job, helping us do great work."

Brazil completed an October sweep of qualifiers on Tuesday with a 2-0 defeat of Venezuela in Merida. Tite's men crushed Bolivia 5-0 in Natal, Brazil five days earlier.

They will next face arch-rival Argentina and Peru on Nov. 10 and 15, respectively.
