Alexis Sanchez hits out at Uruguay's attitude after win over Chile

Chile star Alexis Sanchez has questioned Uruguay's sportsmanship after his nation lost 3-0 on Tuesday.

Goals from Diego Godin, Alvaro Pereira and Martin Caceres clinched the victory for Uruguay in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying.

The game between the South American rivals had eight yellow cards while Jorge Valdivia was sent off for Copa America holders Chile in the final moments.

Arsenal's Sanchez wrote on his Instagram account: "You have to know how to win and how to lose, and I speak when I lose and when I win.

"But what annoys me is former and current Uruguay players, and others I don't even know, talking without knowing when they lose and that annoys you.

"Today we lost and I congratulate them ... the current [South] American champion says goodbye."

The result leaves Chile in fifth place on seven points while Uruguay are second on nine points.
