Ecuador extended their lead to 3-0 with a Felipe Caicedo goal in the 60th minute. An 84th-minute strike from substitute Josef Martinez was too little too late for the hosts.
Paraguay beat Bolivia 2-1 after conceding a goal in the 59th minute. Yasmani Duk scored for the visitors, but the hosts roared back with goals from Lucas Barrios and Dario Lezcano to secure the win and stay in fourth place.
