Ghana slip four places in latest FIFA Rankings

Ghana have slipped a massive four places in the latest FIFA rankings, while there were positive gains for the likes of Nigeria and FIFA Confederations Cup-bound Cameroon.

The Black Stars are down to 49th spot, ninth in CAF, while West African neighbours Senegal, Cameroon and Nigeria all moved in the opposite direction. Senegal are up three places to 27th (second in Africa), followed by Cameroon (32nd) and the Super Eagles (38th). 

Another West African nation, Burkina Faso, slipped six places to 41st, level with Tunisia. Egypt remain the top-ranked side on the continent, though they have dropped one place in the overall rankings to 20th.

The biggest movers in Africa were Madagascar, who jumped 14 places to 97th in the world, while Mauritania dropped all of 13 places to 104th.

There was no change to the top 10 ranked nations, with Brazil still leading the way from Argentina, Germany, Chile and Colombia.
