Quique Sanchez Flores to leave Watford at end of 2015-16 season

Watford have announced that manager Quique Sanchez Flores will part company with the Premier League club at the end of the season.

Watford, who gained automatic promotion from the Championship last term under Slavisa Jokanovic, have been guided to 13th in the Premier League table under Flores ahead of their final game of the campaign against Sunderland.

Spanish coach Flores also led the club to the FA Cup semifinals where they lost 2-1 against Crystal Palace at Wembley.

The club's announcement follows Wednesday's 4-2 loss against relegated Norwich City, although a win over Sunderland this weekend could see them finish as high as 11th.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Watford...can confirm that Quique Sanchez Flores will leave Vicarage Road at the end of the season following the Sunderland game this weekend.

"We would like to thank Quique. He and the team achieved the target set them at the start of the season of staying in the Premier League for a second year.

"Quique leaves with all our best wishes for the future and the knowledge he is always welcome at Vicarage Road.'"
