Stuttgart give backing to Jurgen Kramny despite Bundesliga slump

Stuttgart director of sport Robin Dutt has given coach Jurgen Kramny a vote of confidence as the Bundesliga club bid to halt a slide towards the relegation zone.

Kramny was appointed coach on a full-time basis during the winter break after convincing the club he was the right man to guide them to safety after replacing Alexander Zorniger.

After moving as high as midtable earlier this year, a recent run of six games without a win, including four defeats, has seen Stuttgart slump to 15th. They go into Monday's trip to Werder Bremen just two points ahead of their rivals, who are in the relegation playoff berth.

"Once again, we can repeat this hundreds of times: we have 100 percent faith in our coach,'' Dutt told Sky Sport Deutschland. "He will also be our coach next season, full stop.''

Dutt, however, would not be drawn on whether that guarantee also applied in the event of relegation.

"We don't need to talk about any possible scenarios after the season is over because we are just focused on Bremen and Jurgen's doing a very good job and we are supporting him in it,'' he said. "All I can do is reiterate once again that we are 100 percent behind Jurgen.''
