Valencia have suspended their Algeria winger Sofiane Feghouli.
The club announced in a statement on Monday that they had opened a disciplinary case against the 26-year-old, who would remain suspended until it was resolved.
The club did not give a reason for their action, but according to reports Feghouli refused to take part in warm-down session following Sunday's 2-1 La Liga victory over Sevilla.
A statement from Valencia said: "Valencia have decided to open a disciplinary procedure involving player Sofiane Feghouli.
"During the processing of said procedure, and awaiting the resolution of the matter, the player will be suspended as a cautionary measure, in accordance with the current convention between the AFE (Association of Spanish Footballers) and Liga de Futbol Profesional."
Valencia are 13th in the table and still not yet mathematically safe from the threat of relegation.
