Laurent Blanc has distanced himself from speculation that he could become the new coach of United States, but did admit he is ready to take a job in football again.
Blanc, 51, has been linked to the vacant post by France Football after Bruce Arena resigned following his failure to guide the team to next summer's World Cup finals.
Blanc won three successive Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain, added to his success at Bordeaux and with the France national team. However, the former Manchester United defender told media at a charity event in Switzerland that U.S. Soccer have not made a move as yet.
"It's a rumour which has arisen in recent days. Honestly, I don't know any more about it. There will undoubtedly be others," Blanc said. "Firstly, we'd need to talk about it more in depth.
"What I'm interested in is to try and have a good project. If a board member offers me a challenge like that, I would do it with great pleasure. I'm not ready. I wasn't five or six months ago."
Blanc has not worked in football since being replaced at PSG by Unai Emery in the summer of 2016.
