The Football Association has announced plans to host the 2021 UEFA European Women's Championship.
England's women reached the semifinals of Euro 2017 before losing to hosts and eventual winners Netherlands last week and the FA will officially enter into the bidding process later this year to stage the 2021 tournament.
FA chief executive officer Martin Glenn said: "The Lionesses' performances at the Euros this summer gave the country great pride.

The Football Association has confirmed an independent investigation found no wrongdoing in respect of a grievance raised by former England striker Eniola Aluko.
Aluko made a number of allegations last year that were reportedly directed at England boss Mark Sampson, and the BBC says they concerned claims of "bullying and harassment."
The 30-year-old, who was a television pundit for this month's European Championship in the Netherlands, has not played for her country since making the claims.
The Netherlands became women's European champions for the first time with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Denmark on home soil.
Having swept aside Euro 2017 favourites England 3-0 in the semifinals, the Netherlands fought back from an early setback to send the sell-out Enschede crowd wild.
Vivianne Miedema (2), Lieke Martens and Sherida Spitse scored for the hosts, with Nadia Madim and Pernille Harder on target for Denmark in a first half which ended 2-2.
The Danes were ahead after six minutes when...
England saw their dreams of winning Women's Euro 2017 shattered by a 3-0 semifinal loss to host nation Netherlands in Enschede.
Goals either side of half-time from Arsenal pair Vivianne Miedema and Danielle van de Donk secured victory for the vibrant Dutch before a last-gasp own goal from Millie Bright compounded England's misery.
England were punished for a slow start by Miedema and there proved no way back after a costly mistake by Fara Williams, their confident campaign ending in a huge anti-climax.
