Jose Mourinho: Now Iker Casillas can win Europa League with Porto

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas can now concentrate on adding the Europa League to the list of trophies he has won in his career.

An own goal from Ivan Marcano and a Willian strike proved the difference as Chelsea defeated Porto 2-0 to advance to the Champions League knockout stage as winners of Group G, with their Portuguese opponents dropping into Europe's second-tier competition.

Mourinho, who had a difficult relationship with Casillas at Real Madrid, said prior to Wednesday's game that he had no need to shake hands with the Spain goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge, having already greeted him at the Estadio do Dragao when Chelsea lost to Porto in September.

When asked about his relationship with Casillas, the Chelsea boss told Spanish television station Mega: "No problem. I've done my job and he has done his, and he has done well. Now Casillas can win the only trophy he hasn't won, and if Porto win the Europa League I'll be happy."

Casillas did not talk about Mourinho, instead revealing his disappointment at Wednesday's defeat and pledging to try and make the most of Porto's Europa League campaign.

"It was a difficult game," the goalkeeper told Sport TV. "In the final game we depended on ourselves and it was hard to play Chelsea at home. We started well, but we had some bad luck on the first goal. We did quite a few things.

"We left the best competition and now we go to Europa League, where we will try to do better. We all aspire to play in the Champions League and now we need to accept the defeat. I'm going to a new competition and with great motivation."
