Rafael Benitez: Napoli and Wolfsburg will produce 'absorbing' Europa clash

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez has said he believes Europa League quarterfinal opponents Wolfsburg are one of the leading candidates to win the competition and predicted an "absorbing" clash after the two were drawn to play each other.

Bundesliga side Wolfsburg saw off Inter Milan 5-2 on aggregate to reach the last eight, and Benitez told Napoli's official website: "We're up against one of the strongest opponents we could have got, considered as one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

"In their two games against Inter, they showed all of their strength and they are second in the Bundesliga, having beaten Bayern Munich.

"We can certainly expect an absorbing tie. We've got faith in ourselves and we want to go through, even though we know it's going to be difficult."

Benitez, who has won the Europa League with Valencia and Chelsea, takes his side to Germany for the first leg.

Wolfsburg sporting executive Klaus Allofs told kicker: "They are much better than Inter, but we are second in the Bundesliga and should not say we're without a chance. I believe we have enough quality to do this task."

Allofs singled out Gonazlo Higuain as Napoli's main dangerman, saying: "He is an impressive player."

Coach Dieter Hecking, quoted by the club's official Twitter account: "It's an attractive draw. Napoli are good team with an experienced coach on the international stage."
