Arsenal and Bayern Munich fined for fan misconduct in Champions League

Arsenal and Bayern Munich have both been fined for fan incidents during the German team's 5-1 win at the Emirates this month.

UEFA handed Arsenal a €5,000 fine after a fan ran onto the pitch during the Champions League game, while Bayern will have to pay €3,000 as punishment for their supporters throwing objects.

The away fans threw rolls of toilet paper onto the pitch at the start of the game to protest high ticket prices, forcing play to be halted for a couple of minutes.

A pitch invader then ran onto the field during the second half and was escorted away by security guards.

Bayern won the round-of-16 tie 10-2 on aggregate to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
