Borussia Dortmund to play Youth League game behind closed doors

Borussia Dortmund have announced that they will play their last UEFA Youth League home fixture against Legia Warsaw behind closed doors, following on from trouble involving the Polish club's supporters in the Champions League.

BVB are set to meet the Polish champions' under-19 side on matchday five of the competition on Oct. 22, the day of the two first teams also meeting at the Westfalenstadion in Champions League.

The clash was originally scheduled to take place at the 5,000 capacity Montanhydraulik Stadium in Holzwickede, a small municipality to Dortmund's east. However, on Wednesday, BVB announced on their website that "due to organisation and security issues" the match will be "played behind closed doors" at an unnamed venue.

According to UEFA's official website, both teams will instead meet at BVB's training ground at Adi-Preissler-Allee in Dortmund.

Last week, Legia Warsaw were banned from selling tickets for the Champions League match at Dortmund following Warsaw fans clashing with police outside the Bernabeu ahead of the 5-1 loss at Real Madrid last month.

UEFA also fined Legia €80,000 ($87,000) for the second time this season.

Legia hosted Madrid in an empty stadium earlier this month, in a game that ended 3-3, after fan violence at the home game against Dortmund in September.
