Real Madrid needed a goal from Mateo Kovacic to rescue a 3-3 Champions League draw at Legia Warsaw, despite being two goals up inside 35 minutes.
A brilliant goal by Gareth Bale gave Real a dream start in Poland, the Wales captain hammering in a magnificent volley from outside the area with only a minute on the clock -- the club's fastest-ever Champions League goal.
They soon made it two with another fine strike, Bale laying the ball off to Benzema, who smacked home a low shot from inside the area.
But Legia pulled one back when Vadis Odjija tiptoed past a couple of challenges before sending an unstoppable finish high into the corner, and they levelled early in the second half when Miroslav Radovic poked a low shot through the dive of Keylor Nevas after 58 minutes.

Borussia Dortmund overtook Real Madrid at the top of Group F and went through to the knockout stages, with an early goal enough to see off Sporting Lisbon 1-0.
After surviving some early pressure from the visitors, Dortmund went in front when a neat buildup saw Julian Weigl and Mario Gotze combine before Matthias Ginter's cross was headed home by Colombia international Adrian Ramos.

Petar Stojanovic was sent off for a second booking on the verge of half-time, leaving Zagreb with a mountain to climb, and they conceded again after 67 minutes when Sergio Escudero surged forward from defence and provided a fine low finish. N'Zonzi and Wissam Ben Yedder added further gloss.
