Dynamo Kiev ordered to play European home games behind closed doors

UEFA has ordered Dynamo Kiev to play their next three European home games behind closed doors, though the third match of that sanction is suspended.

The punishment comes after the Ukrainian club were charged with racist behaviour and crowd disturbances at the home Champions League match against Chelsea last month.

The third game is suspended for a probationary period of three years, while Dynamo have also been fined €100,000.

Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE), European football's anti-discrimination organisation, passed footage to UEFA of an apparent attack on four black fans at the match.

Dynamo will play in an empty stadium against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Dec. 9, with the second match behind closed doors coming either in the Champions League round of 16 or the Europa League round of 32 next year.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Willian both hit the woodwork as the October game ended in a 0-0 draw.
