Memphis Depay, Daley Blind happy that Man United drew PSV in UCL

Manchester United's Dutch players were pleased with their Champions League draw on Thursday, with Memphis Depay and Daley Blind both tweeting their excitement to face PSV.

The Eindhoven club were the top-seeded club in Group B thanks to UEFA's new rule that puts the Champions of the top eight European leagues in the same pot.

United were in Pot 2 and landing in PSV's group means a return to their native land for Depay, Blind and manager Louis Van Gaal.

The Old Trafford side also face trips to CSKA Moskow -- where they won the 2008 Champions League final -- and Wolfsburg fill out Group B.

Depay in particular was excited to face the club that he starred for last season. The Dutch winger wrote on Twitter:

Dutch international Blind also expressed his excitement:

It appeared to be a simple draw for United until Wolfsburg, who finished second in the Bundesliga last season, was the last team to land in Group B.

The German side are also looking forward to celebrating their return to the Champions League in style after being drawn with two sides they met last time they were in the competition, Manchester United and CSKA Moscow.

"It's an attractive group," said coach Dieter Hecking on the club's website. "Of course it's also one we can get through.

"Manchester United are obviously a big name and it's going to be special playing against Bastian Schweinsteiger and company.

"[Dutch striker] Bas Dost and our assistant coach Ton Lokhoff had hoped we'd get Eindhoven so they are particularly looking forward to facing PSV.

"We're all looking forward to the Champions League and I am convinced that the whole of Wolfsburg is looking forward to our opponents. We will do all we can to make it into the last 16."

Goalkeeper Diego Benaglio was just happy his side avoided what would have been a trickier group on paper.

"There were only two of us left in the draw and so I'm glad we got Group B, which looks easier than Group D with Juventus, Manchester City and Sevilla," said the Swiss goalkeeper, who together with Marcel Schafer was also involved in Wolfsburg's last Champions League campaign.

"We're in an interesting group, also because we still have a score to settle with Man U and Moscow after what happened last time."
