Celtic head to Iceland to play Stjarnan in Champions League qualifying

Celtic were pitted against Icelandic outfit Stjarnan in the qualifying for next season's Champions League when the draw for the first and second rounds of qualification for the group stage were made on Monday.

The Scottish champions will face the Icelandic club, who knocked Motherwell out of the Europa League 12 months ago, in the second qualifying round.

There are four first-round ties as Lincoln Red Imps face Santa Coloma, Pyunik take on Folgore, Crusaders meet Levadia Tallinn and B36 Torshavn are paired with The New Saints. First legs are to be played on June 30 and July 1, with the return legs on July 7 and 8.

The second round ties, as follows, are scheduled for July 14 and 15, and the following week.

BATE Barisov, who have featured in the Champions League group stage in recent years, also join in the second qualifying round and will take on Dundalk from the Republic of Ireland. APOEL Nicosia, who reached the quarterfinals in 2011-12, start their campaign against Macedonia's FK Vardar.

Bulgarian side Ludogorets, who made their group stage debut last season, will take on Moldova's Milsami Orhei.
