Juventus' Fernando Llorente: Barca, Lionel Messi will be tough

Juventus centre-forward Fernando Llorente says Barcelona are favourites to win the upcoming Champions League final because of their "out of this world" strike trio.

This season's Serie A champions are set to meet the newly crowned La Liga winners in European club football's showpiece finale in Berlin on June 6, with many pundits saying that Barca's all-South American attack of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar gives them the edge.

The 2010 World Cup winner with Spain told Mundo Deportivo that Barca's quality meant his club would go into the game as outsiders, however anything can happen in a one-off game.

"We know it is going to be very, very difficult as we are facing the team most in form at the moment, I believe the best team in the world," Llorente said. "They have three players up front who are from another world, but we will try and play our game and beat them. They are favourites, but in football the best team does not always win. I believe over one game we have a better chance than over two legs."

Messi, Suarez and Neymar have combined fantastically during their first season together, with the 'trident' having already claimed 115 goals between them as Barca have won the La Liga crown, reached the Champions League decider, and also qualified for May 30's Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao.

Llorente said that there was still no doubt that Messi [54 goals by himself] was the biggest individual threat.

"Messi is the best in the world, then he has alongside him two others who are incredible level players," he said. "But the No. 1 is Messi."

Juve are having an excellent season themselves, having retained the Serie A trophy for a fourth consecutive year, and completed the domestic double by beating Lazio 2-1 in extra time in Wednesday's Coppa Italia final.

Llorente was asked if he thought last summer that the treble was possible.

"The truth is no," he replied. "None of us expected this, to win the league, the cup, and now to be playing the Champions League final. Until now the only thing we're lacking for a perfect season was the Italian Supercup against Napoli. I hope we can finish it off in Berlin against Barca."

The former Athletic Bilbao began the Coppa final victory, but admitted he would probably be on the bench in Berlin, with in-form partnership Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez the likely starters.

"That is for the boss to decide," Llorente said. "The truth is Alvaro and Tevez are doing very well, and it will be difficult. But I will try to be ready for when the team needs me."
