Champions League group qualification permutations

As the Champions League group stage reaches its climax, here's what each team still has to do to make the knockout rounds:

Group E

Bayern Munich: Have qualified as group winners.

AS Roma: Are guaranteed to qualify if they beat Man City on the final day, and would also qualify with a 0-0 draw if CSKA lose to Bayern. Roma will also qualify with any draw if CSKA draw too -- they took all their points from CSKA and Man City, meaning they would win a head-to-head with the three sides on six points.

CSKA Moscow: CSKA face the toughest task with a trip to Bayern Munich. They can go through only if they beat Bayern and Roma do not beat Man City. If CSKA and City both win, then CSKA go through on head-to-head.

Man City: The dramatic, Sergio Aguero-inspired win over Bayern has given them a very good chance. They will qualify with a win at Roma as long as CSKA do not beat Bayern, and also with a scoring draw at Roma as long as CSKA lose at Bayern.

Group F

Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona: Both are through and will fight it out for the top spot in the meeting between the two at the Camp Nou on matchday six. Barca have to win the game to finish first.

Ajax and APOEL: Playing for the Europa League place, which again will be decided by the fixture between the sides. Ajax must avoid defeat at home to APOEL to go through.

Group G

Chelsea: Are through as group winners.

Sporting Lisbon: Have a two-point lead over Schalke going into the final game and need a draw at Chelsea to book their passage as they have a superior head-to-head with the Bundesliga side.

Schalke: Must win away at Maribor and hope Sporting are defeated at Chelsea.

NK Maribor: Are playing only for the Europa League, and will grab that spot if they win at home to Schalke.

Group H

FC Porto: Are through as group winners.

Shakhtar Donetsk: Are through as runners-up.

Athletic Bilbao & BATE Borisov: Bilbao lead BATE by a point with the two teams meeting in Spain on the final day. Bilbao need only to avoid defeat to qualify for the Europa League.
