Tottenham Hotspur going to the Bernabeu to win - in-form Harry Kane

Harry Kane has said Tottenham Hotspur will be going to Real Madrid to win next month.

Kane scored a hat trick against Apoel Nicosia on Tuesday as Spurs sealed a second straight group win in the Champions League ahead of their trip to the Bernabeu.

Both Champions League holders Real and Spurs have 100 percent records and meet on Oct. 17 in the first match of a crucial double-header.

And Kane is full of confidence after making it 11 goals for club and country in September with a perfect hat-trick in Cyprus, telling reporters: "We feel we can beat anyone on our day.

"We are going there to win, not just to avoid defeat.

"It will probably come down to who is more clinical in the final third, and hopefully that can be us. I want to test myself against the best -- and they have been the best team in the last few years, without a doubt.

"I have never been to the Bernabeu so it is going to be exciting, and I want to put in the sort of performances I have managed recently.

"They have one of the best defences in the world, too."

Kane is beginning to earn comparisons with Madrid's four-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, and the match is already being billed as a contest between them.

The Spurs striker added: "I have never met Ronaldo but I am a fan, of course. I am a fan of all great footballers, and he is one of the best.

Hopefully we can win, and maybe I can score more goals than him. I'd say this is the most confident I have felt.

"The more I play, the more I get a sense of what defenders will do at certain times, which is part of becoming more mature. As you get older and wiser, things come naturally.

"I was pleased with my finishing against Apoel and, hopefully, I can take it into the next few games."
