Kane feels Tottenham have all the pieces to win trophies at White Hart Lane

LONDON -- Harry Kane is targeting winning the Premier League and Champions League with Tottenham after signing a new contract with the club.

On Friday, Spurs announced a new deal until 2022 for the England striker and he celebrated with two goals in Saturday's 5-0 win against Swansea.

Kane, who won the Premier League Golden Boot last season after scoring 25 goals, had been linked with a move elsewhere, but says he can fulfil his ambitions at Spurs.

Asked what he could achieve with the club, Kane said: "Win trophies -- Premier Leagues, Champions Leagues. We've got to aim high, we have everything in the right place. You see the stadium being built every time we come here, little by little...it's exciting.

"We've got everything in place to be one of the top clubs in Europe. That's the aim, that's my goal and I'm sure it is the club's goal too.

"It's going well. Obviously I was very pleased to sign the deal in the week. It's important to bounce back from the Chelsea game this week and winning 5-0 is a great way to do that.

"I'm happy here, I feel the club's progressing, we've got a great manager who I believe in a lot and the players believe in a lot, the stadium, the training ground, they are exciting times. There was no hesitation."

Former Spurs captain Ledley King told ESPN FC that Kane may join him in being a one-club player and the forward says he sees no reason why not.

"From my point of view, as long as the club's always progressing and has got a vision and going forward, then I'd love to do that. At the moment, that's the case, so there is no reason for me to move anywhere else," Kane said.

Kane's double against Swansea took him onto seven league goals for the season -- just four fewer than current Premier League top-scorer Diego Costa -- and he has scored six in five matches since returning from a seven-week injury layoff.

"I feel good, having that break gave me a chance to rest a few other muscles. I'm getting up to match fitness after the injury. I'm feeling a bit more fresh. Even in the last game against Chelsea I felt good, today I felt sharp, so hopefully I can continue that over the next few busy months," Kane said.

"When you are injured, you are always thinking what's it going to feel like when you are out there playing again. I did a lot of rehab work and a lot of stuff in the gym to be as ready as possible. It's very pleasing from my point of view to come back from a period out and still be scoring goals. Hopefully I can keep doing that for the rest of the season."

Spurs went into Saturday's match with just one win from 10 games and they now face Manchester United, Hull City, Burnley, Southampton and Watford.

Last season, Spurs won nine of 11 matches either side of Christmas and Kane is hoping they can put a similar run together this year.

"We spoke about how these next couple of months are very important. Last year, in December and January we really pushed on and put a good string or results together. That is what we have got to do now.

"We have definitely got some winnable games coming up, some good games at home that we should definitely win. We are looking at these next to months to build on today, hopefully get a few wins in a row and push us up the league," Kane added.

"We're three points behind second place after today, we've got to use that as a positive over the next couple of months as we are looking to build on results, get a good run together and hopefully push us up the league, so we can start fighting for the title."
