Nabil Bentaleb, Clinton Njie head list of unwanted Spurs players - source

Clinton Njie, Nabil Bentaleb, Alex Pritchard and Federico Fazio have all been told by Tottenham to find new clubs after being omitted from the team's preseason trip to Australia, a club source has told ESPN FC.

The quartet were not included in the 24-man group which departed for Melbourne ahead of next week's friendlies against Juventus and Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup.

They have been told to use the fortnight to find new employers, and Njie, Bentaleb and Fazio have already held talks with clubs on the continent, while Pritchard is seeking to remain in the Premier League.

Njie joined Spurs from Lyon for £14 million last summer but the 22-year-old Cameroon winger made just eight league appearances, all from the bench, in an injury-hit season in England.

Spurs have all but wrapped up the £11m signing of Georges-Kévin N'Koudou from Marseille and Njie is in talks with OM about going the other way in a separate deal.

Algerian international Bentaleb impressed in manager Mauricio Pochettino's maiden season at Spurs and the 21-year-old signed a five-year contract last year.

But the emergence of Dele Alli and Eric Dier, and the form of Mousa Dembele, meant he made just two Premier League starts last season -- both in August -- and he did not feature after February.

Fazio and Pritchard both returned from unsuccessful loan spells this summer.

Meanwhile, Pochettino has also excluded all 11 of Spurs' Euro 2016 representatives for the club's second trip to Australia in as many years.

Hugo Lloris, Kevin Wimmer, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele and Harry Kane have remained in London.

Teenagers Marcus Edwards, Dominic Ball, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Kyle Walker-Peters, Tom Glover, Shayon Harrison, Anton Walkes and Harry Miller are in the squad.
