Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has been ruled out of his team's trip to Everton on Sunday and is expected to miss "a few weeks," manager Mauricio Pochettino has said.
Dembele, 28, limped off towards the end of the first half of Tottenham's 2-1 win at Watford on Dec. 28.
The Belgium international had been a doubt for the match at Vicarage Road after picking up a knock to his ankle against Norwich City on Boxing Day, but passed a late fitness test.
The in-form Dembele will now miss the trip to Goodison Park on Dec. 3, and looks certain to miss the back-to-back home matches against Leicester City in the FA Cup on Jan.10 and the Premier League three days later.
"Mousa has a small injury, but we hope he's back with us in a few weeks, " Pochettino told a news conference.
"He definitely misses Everton. We've no other injuries, everyone is OK."
