London Mayor Boris Johnson has "high hopes" that Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium could be the home of an NFL franchise in England.
In July, Tottenham and the NFL announced a 10-year partnership for at least two American Football games a year to be played at the Premier League club's new £400 million stadium.
Tottenham received the green light to build a new stadium in the shadow of their current White Hart Lane home in North London in March.

It is expected to hold 61,000 spectators and is due to open in 2018, with the side expected to play their games at a temporary home for the 2017-18 season.
This week, the Daily Mail reported that the new ground will include three tunnels, one for Spurs and one each for home and away NFL teams, while there will also be dedicated facilities for American Football.
During a Q&A with his followers on Twitter, Mayor of London Johnson said he is optimistic for an NFL franchise coming to Spurs' new home.

NFL games have already been staged successfully at Wembley in the English capital since 2007, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said this summer: "With growing enthusiasm for the NFL in the United Kingdom, we are committed to hosting NFL games in world-class venues and are excited to partner with Tottenham Hotspur to play games at their future stadium.
"We share a vision and commitment to creating the best experience for our teams, fans and the local community."
