Harry Kane plans Tottenham stay despite Manchester United links

Harry Kane has told BT Sport he intends to be at Tottenham Hotspur "for a very long time."

Kane, 21, has enjoyed an impressive 2014-15 season, scoring 20 Premier League goals for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

His form has led to speculation that Manchester United are interested in the striker, although the Press Association has reported the club will resist any bids for his signature.

"Spurs is where I'm at and where I plan to be for a very long time," Kane is quoted by The Guardian as having told the Clare Balding Show on BT Sport 1, which airs on Thursday.

"We'll be looking to win some good trophies in the future. I want to keep progressing and keep getting better. This season has been crazy and more than what I ever expected to do so early on but it's happened, and it's how you deal with it.

"I am hoping to go on and win many trophies for Spurs and for England. That's always been the aim since I was a kid, dreaming of lifting the trophy one day for them.

"I want to be a player that does everything he can to reach his ability and I'll keep working hard. I want to win trophies."

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror reports that Pochettino has told chairman Daniel Levy that Erik Lamela is part of his plans at White Hart Lane.

Lamela signed for Spurs from Roma for €30 million in 2013 but has struggled for consistency since the move, scoring two goals in 41 Premier League appearances.
