Tottenham have announced the signing of Milton Keynes Dons youngster Dele Alli on a five-and-a-half-year deal, with the midfielder to return to the League One side on loan for the rest of the 2014-15 season.

Sources told ESPN FC earlier on Monday that the 18-year-old was set for a medical with the Premier League side, and Alli has now signed a long-term deal with Spurs until 2020.
Alli said via Tottenham's official Twitter account: "It's a massive club and I'm really happy to be here. I'm really looking forward to meeting all the lads and getting to work with the manager. It's a dream come true.
"I'd love to play for Spurs and at White Hat Lane. It won't be easy and I'll have to fight for my place in the team but I'll work hard to do that."
The future of Alli had been the subject of speculation during this month's transfer window with a host of Premier League clubs reportedly after his signature.
The midfielder, who has 12 goals this season, is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the country following his fine form for MK Dons.
Newcastle and Aston Villa had both been credited with an interest in Alli, while Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the England under-19 international.
He had appeared set to join the Magpies in a deal that would see him return to MK Dons on loan for the rest of the season, but Tottenham hijacked the deal to land Alli and bring the player to White Hart Lane.
As part of the deal, Alli will return back to MK Dons for the rest of the season as Karl Robinson's side battle to win promotion from League One.
Robinson told the club's official website: "We are immensely proud of Dele. He is one of many young and talented players to have progressed through the youth system here, which proves that the chairman's vision of providing local children with a step into professional football is paying off.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to re-sign Dele and keep him with us for the rest of the season. Hopefully both he and us can share some more moments that will last a lifetime, before he moves on."
