Mauricio Pochettino hails the 'desire' of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino praised goal scorers Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen after Spurs earned a 2-1 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Kane scored inside the first minute for his fourth goal in as many games and now has 15 on the season.

Eriksen played hero in the 71st minute with his seventh goal of the campaign when he curled in an angled effort which bounced in off the post.

"I am happy for them and I am happy for the team. It was a very good result," Pochettino said. "The reason they both keep scoring is they always try to get into scoring positions and they have the desire to score.

"It is not one of those things -- they train hard for this. They both keep wanting to score."

"Christian has a free role. I think he is a player you need to give confidence."

Friday's victory left Spurs a point adrift of the top five, but they endured a scary moment when Hugo Lloris was left with a bloodied mouth following a collision with Jamie Vardy.

However, the head coach eased injury fears over his starting goalkeeper, who suffered a concussion last season against Everton.

"He was only cut inside his mouth," Pochettino said of Lloris. "It was not like last time. He will not need clearance to play against Manchester United [on Sunday]. This was nothing like before.

"From my position it was difficult to see the incident but it is not serious and he will play. He is very brave."
