Mauricio Pochettino: Penalty call cost Tottenham at Manchester City

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino believes his side was unfairly punished for the first of three penalty decisions during their 4-1 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday.

Sergio Aguero scored all four goals for the Premier League champions at the Etihad Stadium as Jonathan Moss awarded the hosts three spot-kicks -- two of which Aguero scored -- while Roberto Soldado missed from 12 yards for the visitors.

While Pochettino thinks the decision for Aguero's first penalty was incorrect, the Argentine coach praised his compatriot -- who he compared to  the genius of Mozart in the buildup to the game -- for his four-goal haul.

"Kun Aguero had a very good day," he told BT Sport. "He scored it was a very good performance from him. It was a great game but I'm disappointed with the result. It was tough for us but we need to take the positives and improve.

"The third penalty finished the game for us because at the time we had possibilities to score. But the first key moment of the game was City's first penalty -- for me it wasn't a penalty.

"The next was our penalty miss and the big save from Joe Hart just after. That was a big moment."
