Neither Toronto FC nor Sporting Kansas City were able to take advantage of an abundance of chances in a scoreless draw. (1:47)

Toronto FC will be without Clint Irwin for four to five weeks after the starting goalkeeper suffered a hamstring injury on Friday night.

Irwin was injured when his boot caught in the grass while making a save in the first half of the goalless draw against Sporting Kansas City, but he escaped any serious knee injury.

The 28-year-old signed a new contract with Toronto after helping the Canadian club reach the MLS Cup final in 2016, a year in which he also missed time because of injury.

Alex Bono will again come in to play in Irwin's place for Toronto, who have conceded just two goals in the first four games of the season.
