Toronto FC signs Finnish defender Johan Brunell from Jaro
Toronto FC signed defender Johan Brunell from Finnish club Jaro on Thursday.
The 25-year-old has played for Jaro for the past six years, the first five in the top flight before they were relegated ahead of the 2016 season, scoring five goals in 101 total appearances.
Toronto did not reveal terms of the deal, but Brunell previously joined up with the MLS club on trial during preseason camp.
The move comes one day after Toronto signed defender Nick Hagglund to a multi-year contract extension.
