Dynamos go top of Zimbabwe PSL

Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League giants Dynamos finally reached the summit of the league table this season after their outstanding win over Chapungu in Gweru on Thursday.

The game was abandoned on 18 June following the 56th minute collapse of a goal frame as Lloyd Mutasa's team led 4-0, with the Premier Soccer League secretariat subsequently taking forever to map the way forward.

There were to be no further goals as the two teams completed the remaining 34 minutes to officially hand Dynamos the three...

Veteran forward Dominic Chungwa scored a priceless second-half goal as troubled CAPS United beat ZPC Kariba 1-0 to give their fans some desperately needed respite.

The Zimbabwe Premier League defending champions -- turned top-flight whipping boys -- had gone into Matchday 20 on the back of a five-match winless streak to leave coach Lloyd Chitembwe running out of excuses.

There would have been no better time for a rebound than against a Kariba team who themselves have been tumbling down the log...

Dr. Phillip Chiyangwa, President of the Zimbabwean Football Association and the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations, has vowed to examine stadium security in the region after two fans died at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Two supporters were killed in a stampede during the Carling Black Label Cup final between Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, a tragedy which overshadowed South African football's traditional curtain raiser.

It was yet another stain on the continental game,...

In a match pitting two teams in desperate need of some positivity after difficult spells, it is City who drew first blood through a Malvin Gaki strike just after the quarter-hour mark.

Coach Philani Ncube's side managed to hold on to their lead going into the break but Makepekepe had come determined to put up a real fight...

Black Rhinos taking on Ngezi Platinum in a Zimbabwe Premier League clash

Ngezi Platinum clobbered title rivals Black Rhinos 4-2 at Morris Depot on Thursday to reclaim top spot in the standings as the second-half of the Zimbabwe Premier League gets underway.

A match that had remained goalless at halftime suddenly burst into life after the break with Ngezi scoring three quick goals through defender Patson Jaure (49th minute) Terence Dzukamanja (55) and Walter Mukanga (67).

Dzukamanja then found his second of the match, and sixth of the campaign, on 75 minutes to give the...
