Columbus Crew's Zack Steffen will join Manchester City in record move for MLS goalkeeper

While Zack Steffen would be unlikely to play right away at Manchester City, Raf Honigstein explains why the move would make sense for the American.

Columbus Crew SC announced on Tuesday that goalkeeper Zack Steffen will join Manchester City during Major League Soccer's summer transfer window.

Steffen, 23, is expected to cost the Premier League title holders between £7 million and £10 million -- which would constitute a Crew and league record for a keeper -- with the deal set to be completed when MLS opens its secondary transfer window on July 9, 2019.

Manchester City also confirmed the news of the deal, saying Steffen would remain...

American teenager Josh Sargent scores with his first touch in the Bundesliga, heading the ball in two minutes after coming on for Werder Bremen.

Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt has urged people not to expect too much of United States international Josh Sargent after he scored his first Bundesliga goal on Friday.

"We all must be careful what we expect from him," Kohfeldt said. "If he makes five, six Bundesliga appearances until the summer, it is a good a year for...

Eddie Johnson questions Jordan Morris' contract: 'What has he done?'

MLS Commissioner Don Garber joined SportsCenter to discuss the future of the league and the USMNT's appointment of Gregg Berhalter.
Jordan Morris discusses what it's like taking on the role of leader and mentor for the U.S. national team in January camp.

Former United States international Eddie Johnson took to social media on Friday to question Jordan Morris' new contract with the Seattle Sounders, asking, "What has he done?"

Morris, 24, missed the entire 2018 MLS season after tearing his ACL in February, but Seattle still gave him a new five-year contract reportedly worth an average of $1 million a year.

And Johnson posted a long caption on Instagram next to a screenshot of the The Athletic's story on Morris' contract, concluding with, "How...
