Documents released by the U.S. Soccer Federation show a healthy financial picture, but also reveal that former U.S. men's national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann remained the federation's highest-paid employee for the 2017 fiscal year, while women's national team counterpart Jill Ellis made less than a 10th of what Klinsmann made.

FIFA lifts ban on public endorsements of 2026 World Cup bids

LONDON -- A ban on voters publicly endorsing any 2026 World Cup bid has been lifted by FIFA in the face of criticism from football officials.

The governing body last month ordered officials not to openly discuss the merits of either the joint Northern American bid, featuring the United States, Canada and Mexico, or the rival bid from Morocco.

Josh Sargent recently signed with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen at only 17. Taylor Twellman dives into his reasoning why.

American striker Josh Sargent signed his first professional contract at Werder Bremen on his 18th birthday on Tuesday.

Under FIFA rules, Sargent had to wait until he turned 18 to sign his first contract and play in an official game for the club.
