Uganda's Derrick Nsibambi joins Smouha FC

Uganda striker Derrick Nsibambi has completed a move to Egyptian Premier League side Smouha FC, joining The Blue Wave on a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old was part of the Cranes squad that were eliminated in the group stage of the African Nations Championship earlier this year.

"Nsibambi signed a three-year contract with Smouha FC on Tuesday," KCCA FC Public Relations Officer Moses Mwanje Magero told KweséESPN. "The player returns this Friday before he rejoins his new club for pre-season training.

Uganda: Desabre's problems like Guardiola's, says Onyango

Uganda skipper Denis Onyango believes that Sebastien Desabre's current problems with the Cranes are similar to Pep Guardiola's early struggles with Manchester City.

The East Africans have lost twice in the last eight days, being defeated 1-0 by the Central African Republic and 2-1 to Niger during the Three Nations tournament.

These defeats followed a 0-0 draw against Malawi and a 3-1 victory over Sao Tome e Principe, with Desabre appearing to take his time to establish his philosophy within the...

Mutebi explains why KCCA FC signed Mutyaba

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has explained the decision to sign midfielder Sulaiman Mutyaba, with the 28-year-old set to play a key role in the Ugandan heavyweights' CAF Champions League campaign.

Former Tout Puissant Mazembe and Al-Merreikh star Mutyaba has been retired since 2016, but has ended his self-imposed after having trained with KCCA FC during the final weeks of the Ugandan season.

"We have signed Mutyaba for one year because he is the kind of player who is intelligent and can bring something...

Uganda's Desabre unconcerned despite tournament troubles

Uganda head coach Sebastien Desabre isn't worried by the Cranes' recent performances despite their consecutive defeats to the Central Africa Republic and Niger in the Three Nations tournament that ended on Saturday.

Uganda were defeated 1-0 by Les Fauves in their opener before losing 2-1 against hosts Niger after Adebayor Zakari Adje scored in either half, with Nicholas Wadada pulling one back for the troubled East Africans.

"I am not afraid of the results, and I am not afraid of the 2019 African...

Wasswa blames 'childish mistake' for Uganda defeat

Uganda's stand-in captain Hassan Wasswa has blamed a 'childish mistake' for the Cranes' 1-0 defeat by the Central African Republic at the Stade General Seyni Kountche in Niamey on Wednesday.

Ralph Kottoy scored the only goal of the game late in the first half after a horrific defensive mixup at the back for the Ugandans, where a series of Cranes defender were left exposed by Louis Mafouta's cross due to poor positioning and awareness.

The win means the Central African Republic top the three-team...
