Muang Thong United playmaker Mario Gjurovski believes the battle for the Thai Premier League (TPL) title has just started following the Kirins' thrilling 2-2 draw at champions Buriram United.

The result leaves the two TPL giants at the top of the league on 38 points -- along with Bangkok Glass -- with Buriram ahead on goal difference. All set for an exciting fight-to-finish at the summit with the start of the second half of the season.

Buriram United's Brazilian striker Diogo Luis Santo has scored 15 goals in 16 TPL matches so far this season.

The Thai Premier League (TPL) season has now entered the second half of the season and things are tight at the top and bottom of the table.

Confusion surrounds the future of Port FC head coach Gary Stevens after reports emerged that he had been sacked by the struggling Thai Premier League (TPL) club.

Port FC had announced on Wednesday that former TOT SC coach Somchai Subperm had joined the club as manager. The club statement suggested that Somchai's experience would help support Stevens in his coaching role.
