Suzuki Cup champion Kiatisuk wants to help SE Asian football improve

Thailand coach Kiatisuk Senamuang became the first man in tournament history to win the title as a coach and a player. Former striker Kiatisuk had won titles in 1996, 2000 and 2002.

Having just seen his young team lift the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup after victory over Malaysia, Thailand head coach Kiatisuk Senamuang issued a rallying cry to all of Southeast Asia to improve its football together.

Thailand were crowned 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup champions after a 4-3 aggregate win, despite losing the second leg 3-2 on Saturday night at the National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. Kiatisuk became the first man to claim the Suzuki Cup as both player and coach.

Thailand prevail over Malaysia to win their 4th AFF Suzuki Cup title

Midfielder Charyl Chappuis, celebrating Thailand's title triumph, scored his team's crucial first goal in the second leg of the Suzuki Cup final against Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

Thailand secured their record-equalling fourth AFF title after a 12-year drought by prevailing against a spirited Malaysia side in the second leg of the Suzuki Cup final in Kuala Lumpur.

After winning Wednesday's first leg 2-0 in Bangkok, the Thais lost 3-2 on Saturday night at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. But they edged the final 4-3 on aggregate, after scoring two late, away goals.
