Nicholas Musonye, the Secretary General of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations believes the region is braced for a 'new chapter' of success in continental competitions.

Simon Msuva and Ally Mbwana Samatta scored as Tanzania defeated Cape Verde 2-0 in Tuesday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday.

Tanzania head coach Emmanuel Amunike has backed his team to bounce back and take maximum points when they host Cape Verde in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday.
