Spain international Munir El Haddadi hopes FIFA allows Morocco switch

Munir El Haddadi, currently on loan at Alaves, made one appearance for Spain in 2014.

Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi is hopeful that FIFA will grant him clearance to represent Morocco at the 2018 World Cup.

Munir, 22, played for Spain at youth level and made a sole appearance with La Roja in September 2014 but the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has invited him to switch allegiances to the nation of his father's birth.

Julen Lopetegui believes Spain forward Isco is already a member of football's elite, and said the 'best is yet to come'.

Real Madrid star Isco had to leave Spain's 5-0 friendly victory over Costa Rica with an injury on Saturday, but his teammate Alvaro Morata believes it is not serious.

The game was well in hand when Isco was involved in a collision and motioned for a substitute. He was replaced by Marco Asensio in the 65th minute.

But Morata said he thought it was only a minor setback, which is good news for Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane ahead of next weekend's derby with Atletico Madrid.
