Nigeria, Stoke City forward Victor Moses ruled out until 2015

Victor Moses was one of many Stoke players who enjoyed a solid performance against West Ham.
Moses scored his first goal of the season for Stoke in the 2-2 draw with West Ham on Nov. 1.

Nigeria forward Victor Moses is unlikely to play again this year after hurting his thigh while playing for Stoke City in the Premier League.

Moses, who is on loan at the Britannia Stadium from Chelsea, is facing "at least six weeks on the sidelines" after picking up the injury in the 2-1 loss to Burnley on Saturday, according to the club's official website.

"He has a significant thigh injury which is likely to keep him out for several weeks," assistant manager Mark Bowen added.

FIFA won't ban Nigeria over elections

ABUJA, Nigeria -- FIFA said Nigeria won't be banned from international football after a court order nullifying federation elections was withdrawn.

FIFA said Nigeria met a deadline to show that elected football officials are able to work again without any interference.

FIFA gave Nigeria until midday Friday to prove the court order challenging the recent election of NFF President Amaju Pinnick had been withdrawn.

FIFA had threatened Nigeria with a ban until at least May, which would have ruled the...
