Troost-Ekong seals Udinese transfer

Nigerian international defender William Troost-Ekong has sealed a transfer to Serie A club Udinese from Bursaspor for an undisclosed fee, the Italian club confirmed on Friday.

Speculation heightened around Troost-Ekong on Thursday regarding an imminent departure from the Turkish Super Liga side following the player's farewell message to the club on his Twitter handle, only days after scoring in the season opener against Fenerbahce.

FIFA doesn't scare us - Dalung

Nigeria's Sports Minister Solomon Dalung has said they will not be scared by the world football governing body FIFA.

The Minister told KweséESPN on Friday in Kampala that since Nigeria is a sovereign state, they will not bow to pressures from FIFA.

Earlier in the week FIFA issued Nigeria with an ultimatum stating that they have until 20 August to restore and recognise Amaju Pinnick as the legitimate president of the NFF, or face a ban.

FIFA reject Nigerian FA meeting request

FIFA have declined a meeting with a Nigerian delegation proposed by Sports Minister Solomon Dalung, as the NFF try to settle the country's football crisis.

Earlier this week, the world football governing body issued an ultimatum to Nigeria, giving the country a deadline of 20 August to restore and recognise Amaju Pinnick as the legitimate president of the NFF, or face a ban.

Dalung wrote to FIFA on Wednesday, proposing a meeting between FIFA president Gianni Infantino and a 15-man Nigerian delegation...

Nigeria have been knocked out of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup after first-half goals from Aitana Bonmati and Patricia Guijarro sealed a 2-1 win for Spain on Thursday in Concarneau.

Despite a much-improved and purposeful second-half showing against the Europeans, which culminated in Peace Efih halving the deficit, the hard-fighting Falconets lacked the extra quality to complete a fightback.

The Falconets were second-best early on in the contest, and duly fell behind to an exquisite Bonmati...

Counting the cost of Nigeria's football crisis

On Tuesday, FIFA showed that it had run out of patience with Nigeria due to the continued crisis in the country's domestic football, and sent a letter warning that if the issues were not resolved by August 20, Nigeria would face instant suspension.

The news prompted Nigeria's acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, to call a meeting with both NFF president Amaju Pinnick and Sports Miniser Solomon Dalung on Wednesday.

Osinbajo did not, however, meet with Christopher Giwa, who is leading the group claiming...
