Spanish FA threaten legal action over Malta 'drugging' claim

Javi Martinez says he's ready to fight for a place in Spain's World Cup squad despite his absence from the latest call-ups.

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has threatened to take legal action following claims made by former members of Malta's national team that they were drugged before suffering a heavy defeat to Spain in 1983.

Spain rally late to salvage draw at England; Italy and Germany goalless

Spain rallied with two late goals to salvage a 2-2 draw with England in a friendly at Wembley on Tuesday.

Adam Lallana opened the scoring for England from the penalty spot, the Liverpool man playing a whipped-in pass to spring Jamie Vardy in Spain's penalty area, and he was taken down by Pepe Reina with the referee pointing immediately to the spot.
