Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts break down Thailand's resilient 1-1 draw with the UAE in World Cup Qualifying.

Zesh Rehman, left, won a treble of trophies with Pahang in the 2014 season.

Former Pahang captain Zesh Rehman has ended speculation about his future by signing with Hong Kong club Southern District FC.

The English-born Pakistani international, who played for Fulham in the Premier League at the start of his career, had been linked to a return to Malaysia with either Felda United or Terengganu before committing his future to Southern District.

Chan Yuen-ting learns tough lessons vs. Scolari in AFC Champions League

Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts recap Hulk and Shanghai SIPG's win over FC Seoul and Urawa Reds' big win over Western Sydney.
ACL coaches Chan Yuen-ting and Luiz Felipe Scolari
Chan Yuen-ting faced Luiz Felipe Scolari in Matchday 1 of the AFC Champions League in Guangzhou.

You're an underdog team, playing away to one of the most successful sides in Asia. Barely 30 minutes have gone, you're already trailing 3-0, and now you're down to nine men after a second defender has been sent off.

It was a tough initiation as Chan Yuen-ting became the first female manager to lead a men's side in a continental competition, with Hong Kong's Eastern SC facing Luiz Felipe Scolari's Guangzhou Evergrande in the AFC Champions League (ACL) on Wednesday night.

Oscar made an immediate impact scoring a goal in SIPG's AFC Champions League victory over Sukhothai.

Hong Kong champions Eastern SC and their ground-breaking coach Chan Yuen-ting were dealt the harshest of lessons in their AFC Champions League debut on Wednesday night as two-time winners Guangzhou Evergrande handed out a cold-eyed 7-0 thrashing.

Liao Lisheng and Wang Shangyuan both registered twice while Ricardo Goulart opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Alan and Paulinho also netted as the six-time Chinese champions dealt ruthlessly with the luckless side from the former British...

Hong Kong champions Eastern
Eastern will face Guangzhou Evergrande in the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.

Hong Kong champions Eastern say that government interference wasn't behind the club's decision to refund tickets for fans planning to travel to China, ahead of their AFC Champions League debut appearance against Guangzhou Evergrande on Wednesday evening.

Eastern, who have qualified for the continental club championship for the first time, take on the Chinese Super League champions at Tianhe Stadium later this week.

But fans, who purchased away tickets, were invited to a meeting on Sunday afternoon...
