Singapore book Hong Kong friendly before key Asian Cup qualifier

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson give their thoughts as to whether or not Shahril Ishak should start again for the Lions.

Singapore will warm up for next month's crucial 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Turkmenistan with a home friendly against Hong Kong on Aug. 31.

Both games will be played at Jalan Besar Stadium, instead of the Sports Hub, which hosted the recent International Champions Cup (ICC) involving Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Kokko, 30, signed with the Jets last August after starring in Finland's top flight where he was twice leading goalscorer.

But his time in the A-League was less fruitful, starting seven of his 13 games for just one goal as he struggled with injury and form...

Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts break down Thailand's resilient 1-1 draw with the UAE in World Cup Qualifying.

Zesh Rehman, left, won a treble of trophies with Pahang in the 2014 season.

Former Pahang captain Zesh Rehman has ended speculation about his future by signing with Hong Kong club Southern District FC.

The English-born Pakistani international, who played for Fulham in the Premier League at the start of his career, had been linked to a return to Malaysia with either Felda United or Terengganu before committing his future to Southern District.

But instead of going back to Malaysia, he chose Hong Kong where he'd played previously for Kitchee in 2012-13.
