James Rodriguez should not underestimate Ecuador - Quinteros

Craig Burley doesn't put much stock into FIFA's world rankings and says it doesn't necessarily evaluate nations accurately.
Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman has admitted that he is disappointed to see Argentina struggling in World Cup qualifying.

Colombia star James Rodriguez has said that Ecuador will be beatable next March in South American qualifying.

Ecuador's coach, Gustavo Quinteros, however, has warned the Real Madrid winger to remain humble after Colombia's 3-0 loss to Argentina in a 2018 World Cup qualifier this week.

The Colombia captain, who started on Tuesday, said that his team's next two qualifiers -- at home to Bolivia on March 23, 2017 and away to Ecuador five days later -- "are winnable."

The 27-year-old suffered the injury in a fall during Sunday's 3-1 defeat by Manchester United after coming on as a half-time substitute.

Montero was able to finish the game and then flew straight to Ecuador for international duty where an X-ray revealed the damage.

A statement on the Swansea website said: "Having been excused [from] international duty, Montero is currently flying back...

A pair of second-half goals from Chris Wondolowski and Julian Green sealed a U.S. victory in a tough match away in Havana.

Chris Wondolowski had a goal and an assist for the United States in a 2-0 friendly win against a resolute and opportune Cuba side in Havana.

Jurgen Klinsmann fielded a somewhat experimental XI in the team's first friendly in Cuba since 1947, with 21-year-old Ethan Horvath starting in goal and Julian Green making just his second international start for the U.S.

A rough pitch in Havana left the U.S. frustrated in the opening 45 minutes, with Bobby Wood and Jozy Altidore going close and Green having...
