Celta Vigo winger Pione Sisto broke the government-mandated lockdown in Spain by driving to his native Denmark before informing his team, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The Denmark international was in Vigo doing his confinement but decided, after the Spanish government extended the state of emergency until April 11 to try to curb the spread of coronavirus, to return home.

With no flights available, Sisto, 25, drove by car for approximately 26 hours to cover the 2,830 kilometres.

The draw for the 2020 European Championship finals is on Saturday (watch live on ESPNEWS and ESPN3 from noon ET in the U.S.). There are 20 teams who have secured their place in the draw, with another four spots yet to be decided via playoffs.

Danish club Viborg FF allege fraud after signing player who may have never been a professional

Danish club Viborg FF admit that they signed a Dutchman claiming to be a professional footballer without ever seeing him play. Now they have filed a criminal complaint alleging fraud by his agents after his lack of skill became apparent.

Bernio Verhagen, 25, arrived at Viborg in October ostensibly from Chilean side Audax Italiano. However, it is not certain that he ever played for that club, or others that he claimed to.
