Antoine Griezmann scored one and made another as France secured World Cup qualification with a narrow 2-1 victory over Belarus in Paris.

Les Bleus went into the game needing victory to guarantee their place in Russia next summer and they quickly took control as Atletico Madrid forward Griezmann slotted in the 27th-minute opener before teeing up strike partner Olivier Giroud for the second soon after.

Anton Saroka halved the deficit just before the break but Belarus were unable to spoil the party...

Suzuki Cup champs Thailand beat Belarus on pens, retain King's Cup

Theerathon Bunmathan was named man of the match as Thailand retained the King's Cup.

Southeast Asian champions Thailand retained the King's Cup after defeating Belarus in Sunday's final in Bangkok.

The Thais, who won their second consecutive AFF Suzuki Cup last December, prevailed 5-4 on penalties after the game finished 0-0.

The triumph came after Milovan Rajevac's side had defeated North Korea 3-0 in Friday's semifinal.
