Bob Bradley has been given the green light to bolster his Swansea City squad in January with the club's owners making it clear to the former United States coach that there is no threat to his position as manager at the Liberty Stadium, sources have told ESPN FC.
Swansea sources have told ESPN FC that, despite guiding the team to two wins in 10 games since replacing the sacked Francesco Guidolin in October, Bradley has the full support of American owners Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan.
And with defensive reinforcements high on Bradley's list of priorities, efforts are being made to secure the loan signing of Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal, who has fallen out of favour under Luis Enrique at the Camp Nou.
Bradley has been unable to pull Swansea away from the relegation zone, with the Welsh club currently three points from safety ahead of back-to-back home games against West Ham and Bournemouth over the festive period.
Swansea also face a potentially crucial trip to fellow strugglers Crystal Palace on Jan. 3.
But having chosen to appoint the 58-year-old earlier this season ahead of former Manchester United assistant manager Ryan Giggs, Levien and Kaplan are determined to stand by their fellow American and have given him free rein to draw up a list of targets for the January transfer window.
Bradley's success in improving Swansea's home form by guiding the team to two wins and a draw out of four games at the Liberty Stadium since taking charge has impressed the club's hierarchy, who believe that the former Le Havre coach can oversee a successful battle against relegation once he reshapes the squad next month.
But with just six points separating the bottom seven teams in the Premier League table, Swansea's owners have no plans to make a further change of manager due to their belief that Bradley can successfully turn the situation around.
