Littbarski confirms move from Sydney FC
Inaugural A-League winner Sydney FC has confirmed coach Pierre Littbarski is leaving the club.
Littbarski refused to accept a cut price deal with the club, believed to be $250,000 less than his first season contract worth $700,000.
Sydney FC CEO Tim Parker confirmed Littbarski had told them on Tuesday night he would not coach the side in 2006/07.
Parker said there were three or four candidates being considered for the role.
Central Coast mentor Lawrie McKinna, who guided the team to a surprise grand final berth against Sydney FC, is considered among the favourites for the job.
