Vincent Kompany not leaving Manchester City - agent
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has no plans to leave the club, according to the player's agent.
Kompany, 30, has endured a frustrating season with injuries restricting him to just 13 Premier League appearances.
The Belgium international's fitness troubles have led to debate of where he will fit into incoming manager Pep Guardiola's plans next campaign.
However, Kompany's agent, Jacques Lichtenstein, has stressed the defender, who is expected to make his comeback from injury against Chelsea this weekend, will be staying at the Etihad.
"Vincent is stronger than ever," Lichtenstein said in the Daily Telegraph. "We are in touch on a daily basis and he's absolutely not worried about his future. That's his strength.
"He still has a contract for three seasons, he's the captain of one of the biggest clubs in the world and he's convinced his best years are ahead of him. He still stays an important player in the squad. The stats are proving it. Why would he be leaving?"
